Although a small hospital, Velmar had very friendly staff. If I wanted meds, they gave them to me. They answered my call lights quickly and were very thorough in documentation of my care. Excellent hospital. The staff speaks minimal English, but we were easily able to communicate my needs because I feel they were sensitive and prepared for what they would be. They provided red carpet treatment for me. I loved the experience. If anyone chooses this hospital/doctor for their care.... Fransisco is the nurse to have! He's gentle, intelligent, soft spoken, friendly and I know he'd be considered a top notch nurse even here in the USA... and I have worked in hospitals since 1988.
