Shantell Hayes Nurse Practioner (NP) FNP

I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I help our patients achieve their weight loss goals and improve their overall health by preparing them for the process after surgery and monitoring their response to surgery. I guide their progress through evaluating each individual’s lab results and counseling them on making choices that will create a successful result.

I joined the My Bariatric Solution team in December 2017. My employment background is in emergency medicine, where I worked for several years before joining My Bariatric Solutions. I became interested in Bariatrics because I believe we can improve people’s lives and health by simply creating a firm foundation based on developing healthy habits individuals can utilize throughout their lives.

My favorite part of being at My Bariatric Solutions is watching patients evolve, realize how great they can truly feel, and no longer have the chronic comorbidities they dealt with for so long. It allows me to feel as if I can truly help patients and make a difference in each person’s life.

When I am not working on the mobile unit at My Bariatric Solutions, I like to wakesurf, ride horses, rodeo, exercise, and travel. I value my family, horses, and my Christian faith.

I am a follower of Christ, horse mom, and wife from a small town in Northeastern Colorado. I came to Texas on rodeo and academic scholarships and now reside in Springtown, Texas with my husband and animals. I graduated with honors from both Tarleton State University and Texas Tech University.

I have been in health care for 5 years and I get an incredible sense of fulfillment from helping others meet their health goals.
