Susan Miller Nurse Practioner (NP) Adult Nurse Practitioner

Susan Miller understands that ongoing nutritional education, emotional support and resources are integral to success. She is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with 20 years of surgical experience as an NP and Registered Nurse. Susan earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from William Paterson College in Wayne. She began her 12 year nursing career at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Surgical-Trauma medicine. Susan was a member of the nursing team focused on assisting the pre and post operative bariatric patients at the initiation of the Morristown Bariatric program. She learned to clearly understand and manage the many dangerous risk factors involved in morbid obesity patient care. Susan then broadened her bariatric experience as part of the Gastroenterology team, focusing on the internal structure and function of the stomach as it relates to weight loss. Susan went on to earn her Masters in Science in Nursing (MSN) from Seton Hall University. She was Board Certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2000. She was the lead Nurse Practitioner for Wound Care at Morristown Hospital for 13 years. She has experience with prevention, surgical, diabetic, pressure related, and infectious wounds.
