My first impression of Dr. Cohen was funny one. Even though he has many years of experience he looks really young. When he came in to meet me for the first time he extended his hand to me and said that he was the doctor. I said: "no really.......where is the doctor???" He could not stop laughing.

What I like most about Dr. Cohen is that he gives it to you straight. He does not sugar coat the situation at hand. He is very thorough in his procedures. He explains everything until you understand it. And if you have any questions he does not mind answering them. I love the fact that he is not like many other doctors who coe in to see you and then 5-10 minutes later they are gone. Dr. Cohen stays with you until you do not have more questions to ask. He jokes around a lot but gets serious when the time calls for it.

His office staff along with Dr. Bass are excellent and very, very, very friendly.

After care is an extremely important aspect for their office. Dr. Cohen and his office staff consider the patients a part of their family after surgery. Even if you do not have to come in anymore they want you to keep them updated on your situation. Once you leave the hospital you leave with Dr. Cohens personal pager number in case something goes wrong or you have any questions in the middle of the night.

I would give Dr. Cohen an 8 for now because I have not had my surgery yet. After I do and once everything comes out fine, I will update if necessary.

He has a great personality overall. If you are scared he puts you at ease. I think he is an excellent doctor.
