  • About Us
Hello, I have been in the health and wellness area for over 25 years helping thousands achieve their goals.  My passion is healing, helping and sharing my knowledge to help others achieve a healthier and happier life.    I started my career in dentistry and continued  to pursue a career in nutrition and dietetics.   I have found the two professions complement each other extremely well.   I am so fortunate to have had the blessings and the ability to have achieved my goals, so I may share my passion.   I continued to pursue my education to receive a Master's Degree in Nutrition and Science.   I have been involved in educating, counseling, developing and implementing many nutritional programs.   My specialties include weightloss, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, sports nutrition, auto-immune and respiratory diseases and general wellness.   I have worked with the top bariatric surgeons, cardiologists, and physicians, and worked with a multi-discliplinary team dedicated to improving the quality of lives.   I developed and implemented a 10 week college level course detailing the science of human nutrition, teaching at Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and Northeastern University.  I, have, also, developed and taught to allied health professionals for continuing education credits.  I, also, have been involved in many volunteer organizations, including, The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and Bridge Over Troubled Waters.   I, recently, partnered with one of the top doctors in Nutrition and Metabolism, Dr Donald Layman.  Dr. Layman has an extensive and distinguished background of academic and industry appointments, numerous prestigious awards and honors, and an extensive publication record. He is recognized world-wide for his breakthrough research discoveries that have revolutionized our understanding of human metabolism and created entirely new approaches to weight management, blood sugar control, fat metabolism and athletic recovery.   Dr. Donald Layman is Professor Emeritus of Nutrition in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is recognized for his research on amino acid metabolism, high protein weight loss diets and nutritional requirements during exercise.   Dr. Layman has more than 90 peer-reviewed publications, and his research has been recognized by the American Society for Nutritional Sciences with the BioServ Research Award in 1986, the Shannon Award from the National Institutes of Health in 1992, and the Nutrition and Metabolism Society National Leadership Award in 2009. He has also received numerous awards and recognitions for his nutrition teaching at the University of Illinois.   Dr. Layman served as Associate Editor of The Journal of Nutrition from 1989 through 1993. He is currently Associate Editor of Nutrition and Metabolism and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior. Dr. Layman earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry at Illinois State University and his doctorate in human nutrition and biochemistry at the University of Minnesota.   I am excited to share my passion and look forward to helping you!!   Believe, achieve, and you will succeed!!   Warmest Regards, Linda Lamb, MS, RD, LDN, RDH
