Lisa Shaw Other BSN, MBA, CBN Director Bariatric Surgery Program

Lisa Shaw is the director for Virtua’s Bariatric Surgery program. She is a Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) and was one of the first registered nurses to become certified in the field of Bariatric nursing in the United States. She had led Virtua’s Bariatric Surgery Program since 2012. In her role as director of Virtua’s Bariatric surgery program, Lisa oversees the 2 MBSAQIP accreditated programs to assure compliance of the MBSAQIP standards. Lisa facilitates all Bariatric surgery support groups and education classes. Lisa believes the goal of Virtua’s Bariatric surgery program is to meet the patient where they currently are at in his/her pursuit of health and partner with our patients to achieve desired health goals on a safe non-biased journey.
