I haven't used him yet for my surgery but will after I loose my weight. I work with him in surgery and am so impressed with his attitude to helping others. He has performed surgery on my ex-husband and was so fun yet professional to deal with.

Dr. Wishnew was very different than other PS I had met. He has a good understanding of the skin quality of someone who has been obese and is cautious not to over stretch the skin for fear there will be problems w/ healing. He might be a bit too conservative w/ skin removal as he told me one thing in his office and took off less in during my TT and BL than I was told. He had his reasons for doing things the way he did but I wish I had spoken up before hand. He didn't do the markings before taking me into surgery, but waited till I was out. I wish I had insisted otherwise to make sure we were 'on the same page', so to speak. Email me for details:)
Otherwise, the improvement from my TT, breast lift and pubic/mons lift is so much better than it was preop. I am very happy w/ the pubic area and the low bikini cut. I am only two weeks post op as I type this so perhaps as my swelling decreases I will be happier w/ the overall impact.
One thing that may put someone off about this Dr is that he may come across as abrupt. He isn't the type to sit and visit w/ his patients. If you ask a question, he may seem to dismiss your concerns before you feel you have made your point. Be persistant and ask him to explain. Once I figured out his personal communication style, I found it easier to relate w/ him. Skill wise he is very good at what he does but doesn't have a great bedside manner. Oh, the other thing that may throw a new patient is that he does not show pictures of before/after results due to Hippa laws. He does not have a website. If you ask to speak to a former patient, they will arrange for that. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will gladly answer any questions!
