John Zimmerman Plastic Surgeon MD

After having lost 50+ pounds around 1996, Dr. Zimmerman performed some liposuction and an abdominoplasty. It greatly imporved my abdominal muscles. However the results were less than I had hoped as my belly button was not round and I had complications with internal stitches which came out and caused much more scarring in the center of my abdominal scar. Also, the lipo he performed was TERRIBLE. It was very uneven, not in the right place and left an obvious indention that shows through clothes on my thighs and knees. When I confronted him about the results, he didn't want to listen or do anything about the poor quality of his work. He was very abrupt and in all of our conferences seemed impatient and not willing to give the time needed to explain anything. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM.

I interviewed 5 plastic surgeons in preparation for my tummy tuck and breast lift/augmentation. Once I found Dr. Zimmerman, I knew he was the one I was going to choose. My procedures are scheduled for Nov. 18, 2003. He has done lots of WLS patients and those that I have talked to that have had him as their doctor rave about him. He is knowledgeable, caring, competent. If you are in the Napa area, I would highly recommend that you make him one of the doctors you speak to when you are researching plastic surgery.
