I initially went to see Dr. Cannova after having gastric bypass surgery & losing 111 lbs. I was 20 lbs from my goal, but he told me I didn't need to lose any more weight. I initially had circumfrential abdominoplasty along with breast lift & augmentation. I was so pleased with the results that I've since gone back for more surgeries. With the superfluous skin being removed from my lower body, arms & thighs, I reached my weight-loss goal. That's right...21 lbs was removed!!! I was wearing size 12 slacks before my plastic surgery and now am wearing size 4!!! Dr. Cannova is the BEST!! His bedside manner is over the top. My body looked SO UGLY when I first went to see him, but his expression did not change when he looked at it. Too, he will not give you unrealistic expectations. He will tell you exactly what he can and/or will do. I have recommended Dr. Cannova to many people, some of whom have gone to see him & subsequently had him do their plastic surgery. Take my word for it...you will love him!!! PS..I didn't rate the obesity-specific section because I was no longer obese when I went to see Dr. Cannova, so don't feel I have the knowledge/experience to answer this section.
I had abdominoplasty and liposuction with Dr. Cannova in April, 2007. I had outstanding results and would highly recommend him as a surgeon. My scar is so even. Dr. C is a very skilled surgeon, listens to his patients and has great bedside manner.
I had a belt lipectomey with breast lift/augmentation on 5/9/06. I am thrilled with my results. I would highly recommend Dr. C to anyone!! I lost 90 pounds before surgery and he was great in helping me with my skin issues. He was very sensitive. He came and did a presentation at my lap-band support group meeting. He is a great doctor!!
Dr. Cannova did surgery on me in the past and did such a great job that I'm going back to him for some more! He is not as "stuffy" as some plastic surgeons are and is truly interested in ones well being. He asked all the appropriate questions to ascertain whether or not this procedure would be covered by insurance...it wasn't but it is good that he looks for that!
