Kent Hughes Plastic Surgeon MD

When I first began to research plastic surgeons, I was at a loss as to which doctor to use. I knew I had a hernia that had to be repaired and most plastic surgeons don’t do general surgery in addition to plastic surgery which meant another surgeon would have to be called in to repair my hernia. I didn’t want to do that due to the cost involved for an additional surgeon. Dr. Kent Hughes is certified in both general as well as plastic surgery and could do both. I read a lot about his expertise as a surgeon especially in body contouring which was very important to me after such a huge weight loss. I went in for my initial consultation and was very impressed with his down to earth attitude, yet he is very knowledgeable and professional. He made me feel very comfortable before and during the exam. I initially I went in for a full tummy tuck but Dr. Hughes suggested I have the lower body lift and my outer thighs lipo-suctioned all at the same time so I would have less “down time”. January 27, 2004 Dr. Hughes (and his PA, Rick) preformed the surgery in about 7 hours (shorter time than expected). I spent one night in a hotel like setting room in the hospital. I had very little pain and was standing up within a couple of hours after surgery. On September 21, 2004 I had minimal incision arm lift, and breast lift with saline implants. This surgery took approximately 6 hours and I went home the same day. Once again, Dr. Hughes and his staff were wonderful and I am very pleased with my results.

Dr. Hughes and Rick (his PA) are so much fun, I feel as though they have become my friends instead of my doctor and his staff. You get to know them all on a first name basis. You will love their humor and personalities. They genuinely care about their patients and treat you like a friend they have known forever. They hug me every time I go in for a check-up! His office staff is top of the line, so expect special treatment from them as well. You can’t go wrong with this team for any procedure you are considering. I will miss them so much once I am dismissed from his care, I may have to go see them occasionally!

After I receive all my before and after pictures I will be happy to share them with you upon request through email ([email protected]) When you decide to have plastic surgery don’t expect to have perfection. With massive weight loss you will have great improvements but you will not come out perfect, but the difference is remarkable. I still have loose skin in places but I look so much better than before. With clothes on I feel beautiful for the first time in my life. I wear my tops tucked in and I go braless when I go out dancing and wear a cute little sexy top with my jeans. Dr. Hughes has changed my life and to him I owe so much. Thank you Doc!

I found Dr. Hughes in a magazine about local featured professionals. He is just that...professional. His staff is absolutely on top of things and VERY polite and patient. He is an absolute doll...VERY cute! He makes you feel like a super model and after surgery I feel like I look like one. I had a LOT of excess skin, but I swear you could bounce a quarter off of my stomach. His specialty is body contouring and shaping and he has worked with other weight loss patients in the area. He even has his own board certified operating suite. I think he is a little more pricey than most surgeons I looked at but I feel that he is the best for the job and my results second that!
