Hi, My name is XXX, I have under eye bags from last 2 years and tried all possible things like Laser treatment from American laser Treatment
( result 0% ) and some creams and all that crap there is no result, So finally i decided to go under a surgery and i did a lot
of research and find Dr. Kagan ( Who has good reviews in all websites ), So, he suggested under eye Blepharoplasty surgery ( for $3500 ),
He mentioned that he is going to remove the fat pad under the eyes and tighten the skin ( If surgeon didn't tighten the skin its just waste of surgery,
Because of these fat pads skin under eye will be soggy, So i took 2 weeks break from office and undergone surgery on November 9th 2012,
As we see in lot of reviews Yes, after 2 weeks you are good to go to office, It's not like no one will recognize,
Every one can easily tell u that till 2 months ),
And usually all surgeons will say you will see 100% result maximum after 6 months, However, Its been more than 5 months
i have seen 0 result, So i was so pissed and scheduled a appointment to see the doctor, He mentioned that it's not fat and and it's not skin, It's your
eye shape is like that and he offered me that he can stretch the skin little more in the office ( Not in the hospital ) or give some kind of fillers,
And immediate next day i visited another surgeon in Chicago downtown, He confirmed that it's not fat ( I Am little happy for that ),
But skin was not tighten in surgery .
If skin is not tighten there is no point of surgery, I don't have fat pad but my eyes look 100% same as before the surgery ,
Well, I am not going to ask Dr. Kagan to stretch the skin more or for fillers, I don't trust his skills any more,
It's not about how may certificates or how many medals he has, It's about your dedication at work,
I am just sharing my experience so fellow patients can choose better surgeon in chicago area .
I would say instead of under going a surgery try to cover that with some make up and use Eye glasses
( Trust me guys i did enough research and it's just waste of money until u know the doctor well and meet the real
patients who is satisfied with that surgeon and that surgery else do not go for surgery )

Robert Kagan is an amazing doctor he is very cooperative im a big fan of him all the people that talk bad about him are just jealous how amazing of a guy he is and the amazing work he does he works 7 days a week and is very dedicated to his job i highly recommend him if you want to get surgery!
Dr. Kagan is an amazing surgeon. He helped me through a very complicated procedure. His staff is polite and accomodating. His assistant Jennifer is extremely knowledable and takes great care of me when the doctor is unavailable. I feel that I am in excellenty ahnds whomever I see in the office. I disagree with the previous comments. Dr. Kagan and his assistant both saw me for post op visits, and not that Dr. Kagan was not available, sometimes I requested to see Jennifer. I can truly say that Dr. Kagan followed me very closely after my surgery, and I was extremly comfortaed knowing that if something happened after office hours, Dr. Kagan or Jennifer were the only people taking call, not some other doctors who they shared call with, and didn't even know me. Thanks guys for all you rsupport, you have became like family to me, in a time that I needed it the most. I love you guys
Dr. Kagan is a very selfish person. He just likes to do the surgery and doese not like to do the follow ups. You will be lucky if you get to see him for a follow up within 6 months of your surgery. Its usually his medical assistant who does all the follow ups. He is always late, lets personal problems and life get in the way of his work. Not very kind, always has something negative to say. If you want to enjoy your experience i suggest you seek somewhere else. His prices may be lower than everyone else... but YOU GET WHAT U PAY FOR. Quality is better than quantity.
Anyone who is looking for a knowledgable,compassionate plastic surgeon should make an appointment with Dr. Kagan. From the first time I walked in his office I have felt completely confident that I was in the "right place." I have had many procedures done by Dr. Kagan,some in the hospital, and some done in the office. This man has the hands of an artist! The skill of a doctor of coarse is the most important element in surgery, but what a bonus to have your doctor and staff who goes that "extra mile" when you are recovering. Dr Robert Kagan is one in a million, and I'm so glad I found him!
In the fall of last year, I had asked my brother who is a world reknown surgeon from University of Chicago who he would recommend as a plastic surgeon? Without hesitation, he stated Dr. Robert Kagan. I asked him why and he instantly said that he is well respected within the medical community and amongst his peers in the field of plastic surgery. So, I went to interview this doctor at his Elk Grove Village office. I was planning on having my upper and lower eyes done and wanted to meet him. I found his staff to be wonderfully warm and accomodating and his office was beautiful! Dr. Kagan was truly kind and compassionate. He listened to me about what I wanted to achieve with my surgery. I found him very knowledgable about the latest and greatest in plastic surgery. I know I am a "Nervous Nellie" and quite a handful (probably because of having my brother as a doc and my standards being so high) and he exceeded my expectations. Before my surgery, everyone would constantly tell me how tired I looked and I wasn't.. I had a great nights sleep, but my bags under my eyes just never went away. Well, I had my eye surgery and its' funny because everyone constantly says how rested I look! Little do they know that I had an artist work on my eyes! I just wanted to share my great experience and let others know about Dr. Robert Kagan!
Although others have had not so favorable experiences with Dr. Kagan, I found him to be extremely courteous, knowledgable and taking the time to explain the proposed procedures. I went to him for a second opinion and I like both plastic surgeons I saw. The office staff was very helpful in getting me pricing for the entire cost, surgeon and hospital within a day.
I have to say that I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kagan. I am a REAL patient that had breast reduction surgery July 28, 2006. I went from a 44 DDD to 38 C. Dr. Kagan was the utmost professional and was concerned with my physical and emotional well-being. He did no whining to me regarding anything personal. He made me very comfortable at all times and has continued to see me on follow-up visits. I have yet to be denied access to see Dr. Kagan with my recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Kagan to anyone seeking a knowledgable, highly professional and dedicated plastic surgeon. In addition, his office staff is just as professional at all times.
To the few people that posted satisfaction after having surgery performed by Dr. Kagan, all I can say is you are lucky you weren't disfigured. Buy a lottery ticket! To the woman who states he has been sued 4 times for malpractice, try 8. YES 8 TIMES. I am permanently disfigured by this inept surgeon who was too busy whining about his divorce to think about what he was doing to my body.
