Dr. Rehnke is the most outstanding Dr. I have ever met. He did my wifes Lap-Band and during the entire process I was fully involved and he always alowed time for my questions and concerns. He took my phone calls and never made me feel as if I were not his patient. I would recommend Dr. Rehenke to anyone with great trust and pleasure.

Dr. Robert Rehnke is a very bad plastic surgeon in my opinion. He performed liposuction on me and did a very bad job. Although he is very nice in person, his expertise is very poor in lipo. Maybe he's good in other areas, but I wouldn't chance it. He flat out lied in my records about a number of things, including my weight. They never weighed me but I told him I weighed 210 lbs, he put down 200 lbs...and didn't put that into the records until I saw him 3 months post op. He put down, after I was unhappy by the low amt of fat he took out at 3 months, that I weighed 200lbs before surgery and now weigh 196 lbs. He said that we agreed that I'd diet and exercise (which I already had been doing), but then said I wasn't doing what I agreed to do with diet because I only lost 4 lbs, and that THAT is why I still have so much fat on me. I've been basically killing myself to lose weight since the surgery...barely eating and exercising like crazy. All the weight loss is do to me killing myself, not his lipo. And he has the nerve to imply in the record that it's my fault I have so much fat on me still since the lipo? I barely see any difference; I still have all the fat stores. Because I was unhappy about him only taking out 2400 cc's of fat when I had so much more to be taken out, he really harped on my need to diet more to lose the rest. He told me that that's the max that could have been safely taken out so there wouldn't be any more deformities than he already created...yet I've met with 3 ps's since the surgery and they ALL told me that he didn't even take out half the fat because of his technique and ability, and that they will be able to take a lot more out, but will have to wait several months because of scar tissue. Two of the 3 winced when I told them that Rehnke took out 2400 cc's and told me to do the rest with dieting. I diet, work out, and do every thing I can, and it's still very hard for me because of my genetics. Both of my parents are very obese. Robert Rehnke told me that he will not do any revisions or give me my money back. What a waste of money and 2 days of work! I can't believe I actually paid him to do this. I feel like I was suckered by this doctor in my consultation. If anything, this Dr. should only perform lipo on someone with a few extra pounds and recommend others that need more than 2400 cc's, go to another more capable surgeon. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Robert Rehnke to anyone for any procedure (especially lipo) because of my experience with him, the results I had, and the other Drs' reactions. His staff is trained to sell you also. They will even down other PS's to do it. They talked me out of going to another one I told them I had consulted with and liked. Told me horror stories about him. I WISH I got the surgery from that guy because I've since found out every thing Rehnke's staff told me was a lie! In the first consult, you will think he is really listening, but I ensure you, he's not. That's to get your money. He won't listen to you after the surgery. Please email me if you have any questions. There are many plastic surgeons out there, AVOID this one!

Dr. Robert Rehnke has years of experience caring for many types of patients. He is an expert in reconstructive surgery and has a special interest in bariatric patients. His brother Ernest Rehnke, MD was my bariatric surgeon. They are The A-TEAM in my opinion. As an RN, I must say that I wouldn't let anyone else touch me. They have excellent reputations in the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

On 11/25/2002 I had a breast augmentation and lift, as well as having my arms done. The surgery was 7 hours long, done at Dr. Rehnke's state-of-the art surgery center in St. Pete. The surgery went very well and I am happy to report that my arms look great and my breasts are lovely if I do say so myself :-) I have been working out, lifting weights and getting lean for months, so the arms now look better than they did before I ever became obese. My breasts deflated like I couldn't believe after the weightloss and in spite of lots of excercise, they were doomed to be deflated and flat, so I made the decision to augment them with C-implants. What a great feeling to have breasts that are actually perky! I am wearing a size 12 now and very pleased with the results of my surgery.

02/27/2003 New breasts and arms look wonderful! Arms went from 19 inches to 12! Of course, I've been working out and lifting weights and it has made a tremendous difference. I'm going sleveless, which is so important here in Tampa! Worth every penny!!

02/27/2003 After looking at myself every morning-naked for about 2 weeks, I made a decision to have a regular tummy tuck and inner thigh lift instead of a complete lower body lift. My butt is firming up nicely and really looking good with all the working out, however the legs are in need of attention. Very loose skin covering two really solid thighs. Long lean muscled thighs are no where to be seen with all that skin just jiggling so it will be gone!! Snip, snip! TT will be pretty easy per the doc, since I have been working out like a fiend. I'll also have my abs tightened up a bit to bring in my waistline. We're removing lots of excess skin. I'm scheduled for 05/04! I can't wait. I'm not going to wear shorts over my size 12 bathing suit because my legs are like Jello any more! Whhhooooohooooo!! Who would have ever believed this just a year ago??????? Certainly not ME!!

I'm 2 days post extended TT and anterior/medial thigh lift and doing very well. He took off 5# of skin and fat! I had an 8 hr surgery and overnight stay and am amazed at how good I feel. What can I say? Dr. Rehnke and his staff are the best. I have had my final procedure and am very pleased. For the first time in my life, I do not have a belly! Pain is tolerable with regularly scheduled medications, ice packs and lots of rest. I believed that this triple procedure (TT and 2 thigh lifts) would be very painful, and in fact, the WLS was much harder on me. It was worth every $$ and I recommend Dr. Rehnke over any other PS I know of.

Hi All, Things are going very well for me. Taking my meds as prescribed, resting and grateful for the wonderful care and attetion I am receiving from my doctor and his professional team and my great family and friends. I am getting a bit antsy, but promised I wouldn't over-do it, so I'm ging to lay low, as planned until the 16th then return to work. In the meanwhile, my body is healing and I am enjoying the time off. Diane N.

09/19/04: Well, I've lost more weight and inches in spite of thinking I was at goal a year ago soooooo I'm having a lower body lift on 09/29 with Dr. Rehnke. He is revising my TT and doing a thigh lift using a verticle incision to maximize the effect and get the best result for me. Often times people who have PS need some type of revision and I am one of them. Dr. Rehnke and his staff are top of the line AND his brother-Renest Rehnke, who did my RNY is assisting on this surgery so my 8 hr procedure should be completed in about 6 hrs with the two of them working on me at the same time. Since I won't be having any muscle sort done my recovery time should be about 3 weeks and I am really looking forward to a firm butt, thghter thighs and getting rid of the jiggle that is above my waistline. My tummy remains very flat and looks great from my TT last June so that will just get some tightening of the rest of the loose skin that carried the additional 20# or so that I lost since last summer. If you are looking for one of the best plastic surgeons in Tampa Bay call Dr. Rehnke. And tell him Diane sent you :-)
