Dr Stefani was very kind and made me feel very comfortable. And even though he doesn't perform the procedure he decided I need (circumferential belt lipectomy), he still sent in an appeal to my insurance to get it covered after I was denied on my first try.

10 months after my Gastric Bypass in 1999 I went to my first consult via my insurance network. I had lost much weight and needed an abdominoplasty and breast reduction/lift. So much work but I told Dr. Stefani after the revealing of my new stomach, I would be back! They could not do it all at once. I was a new person but most of all, Dr. Stefani exceeded any and all expectations. I was shocked! Great communicator, thorough, honest about what could and could not be done and his bed side manner is unbelievable. I have had many operatons and I cannot tell you I ever saw my doctor after surgery and if I did, it lasted 1 second. But Dr. Stefani was always there! He did all the work from dressing the wound and undressing. It was extremely apparent the staff at Elmhurst Hospital respected Dr. Stefani. He says jump they say how high. There was never a delay! I heard nothing but praise about Dr. Stefani at the hospital which assured me even more I had to go back for another surgery. For me he is a miracle worker to have done what he did to my body. Extremely intelligent, professional and best of all, A PERFECTIONIST!! Great staff but most of all, Excellent doctor!! God gifted this surgeon in my eyes. I cannot say enough about him. He was always reachable. He even gave me his personal number if I had any complications. I even had to call on him about 2 years later and sure enough ready and willing to help with some concerns.
