Dr. Pickart was amazing! I had consulted with 4 other plastic surgeons before I met him, including the top names in the field of post bariatric reconstructive surgery andhad not yet felt comfortable with any of them. He was kind, gentle, understanding, knowledgeable and completely supportive of what I was doing to change my life. He explained all of the different procedure possibilities to me and made his recommendations and asked for input from me. He didn't "tell" me anything. There were no "you have to's" or "I do it this ways" which I found to be extremely encouraging. He listened to and responded clearly and concisely to all of my questions, all of my husband's questions and both of our concerns. I was a risky patient because of having a prior DVT and he checked in with my other doctors to coordinate my care. I had a circumferential body lift and then brachioplasty and a breast lift with implants. I look and feel wonderful. This doctor was available by phone 24 hours a day directly. He gave me his cell # and came in on a holiday just to remove one of my drains because he knew it would make me more comfortable. That is the epitome of caring to me!
Dr. Pickart is one of the most skilled as well as caring individuals I have met and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking post bariatric reconstructive surgery, or any other plastic surgery for that matter.

Dr. Pickart was an exceptional doctor with excellent people skills. He performed a lower body lift and abominoplasty. After four pregnancies and loosing 50 pounds, I had a lot of loose skin. It improved the appearance of my abdomen, hips, flanks, buttocks and upper lateral thighs. He was very professional, helpful, pleasant and respectful. He explained every detail pre-and post op. I live in Santa Barbara and if I had any concerns I I would call him or email him and he would always respond quickly. I get a lot of compliments on my new body. I highly recommend Dr. Pickart .

Dr. Michael Pickart performed a very successful Abdominoplasty and Breast Surgery on me back in December 2007. I am a 25 year old female from Sacramento, CA. I lost over 100 lbs back in 2005-2006 by changing my diet and exercising. With this type of weight loss things just don't go back to where they belong even with working out and only being 22 at the time. I heard about Dr. Pickart from my best friend who did medical billing for Bariatric Surgeon, Dr.Helmuth Billy. I visited several surgeons in the Sacramento area before traveling down (8+ hr drive or 1.5 hr plane flight) to see Dr. Pickart, but none of them had the expertise and compassion like Dr. Pickart has. Dr. Pickart was very involved before, during and after my surgery. On my first visit Dr. Pickart did a presentation on his techniques used and what results I could expect. He wanted to make sure I was fully informed on the surgery and possible complications. Dr. Pickart listened to what I wanted and we were able to determine the best course I should take to get the results I needed. After my initial visit, I knew Dr. Pickart would be the one performing my surgery and supporting me through my transformation. Dr. Pickart and his staff are very accommodating and you can really tell they care about you. My concerns and question were answered from the first visit throughout the post operative visits. He still keeps in touch till this day.Whenever I’m in the area I stop in the visit Dr. Pickart and show off the results we reached together. The quality of care continued when I returned home to Sacramento. I was able to call and e-mail Dr. Pickart with any questions I had. He responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. I don’t feel I would have received top quality results or care with the doctors in my area.

I have other women comment on what an amazing job Dr. Pickart did. I’ve had several friends undergo the same surgery as me and some of their results were disappointing. I feel form them and that’s why you need to do your research. I get compliments on how natural my body looks and they would have never of guessed I had surgery.

You have to be able to put all your trust in your surgeon and I was able to do that with Dr. Pickart. It has been a little over a year since I had my surgery and I couldn’t be happier. My tummy is tight and flat. I now have beautiful breasts that are symmetrical to my body size and shape. I was a little worried about the scarring, but I have to say my scars look great. The placement of the scarring is easy to cover up in a two piece swimsuit. A lot of the scarring has faded. The plane flights and car drives were worth the results and quality of care I received under Dr. Pickart. For any future work I might need I know I have a qualified surgeon to help me get the results I want. If you are considering surgery you should really consider at least meeting with Dr. Pickart. I would highly recommend him to help in your body transformation journey.

I had interviewed many plastic sugeons in the greater LA, Ventura, Santa Barbara area and was still hesitant about having surgery after losing 240 lbs. I first met Dr. Pickart at a support group meeting and it just clicked. I knew at that moment who my surgeon ws going to be. I was treated professionally, with utmost respect and care. He and his staff were extremely sensitive to my issues, emotionally and financially. I am certain that he is the ONLY doctor in the Ventura area with extensive experience with lower body lifts on post bariatric patients. His expertise made me comfortable with the procedure and his ability to relate with his patients on a pone to one basis as well as his availability to his patients via phone, and email 24/7 made me feel secure in my choice.
I have had a lower body lift (circumferential), had the excess skin removed from my arms and had a breast lift with augmentation and would go back to him in a minute for any other work I might want done.
I am thrilled with my new body and as a 60 year old I have not wound up looking like someone trying to be 20 again, but I am proud of my flat tummy and very happy with what looks back at me in the mirror every morning. Dr Pickart has made this process as simple and with the least trauma possible. He even saw me on the weekend so I would not have to have a drain in one second longer than absolutely necessary. That is dedication and caring.

I'm in the process of discussing options with Dr Pickart, and I've found him one of the most informed, and helpful doctors I've ever spoken to. He also uses one of the most successful methods for body contouring surgeries, Ted Lockwood's "high tension" technique. These maneuvers create the tightest skin and smoothest contours, resulting in a better scar and less complications after surgery. After a lot of research, I feel I’ve found the best methods, and the best surgeon to apply them!

My husband and I had "interviewed" many PS in the LA/Beverly Hills area (even though we live in Ventura Co.). The best thing to happen to any weight loss patient who is investigating plastics is to check out Dr. Mike Pickart in Ventura. Having someone with as as much skill, knowledge, expertise and compassion in our own back yard is the best thing to happen. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Mike. Both my husband and I were convinced he was truly the "best" surgeon for me. I am 8 days out of a LBL and have already scheduled my next procedures with him. I wouldn't go to anyone else. He is there for you every second of the way--you couldn't ask for anyone better. Dr. Mike is my hero!!!
