My previous doctor wouldn't touch me with a 10 foot pole when I said I was going to have wls in Mexico. Dr. Blanche not only took me on but took initiative to learn all he could about bariatric needs and even mailed me an info packet to follow up with. My first contact with him was years ago when my doctor was out. He put me off because he harped on my weight and wouldn't let up. He impressed me when he called me that night to apologize. No doctor ever does that. He is passionate about weight loss and will do whatever it takes to help you lose it, but he won't let up on you if you don't do something to really get it off. I definitely get from him that he is frustrated by how many people he sees who have ailments due to obesity, and he knows exactly what is going to happen to them down the road. I think he now is understanding that those of us who are obese also share those frustrations and concerns but that we have a very hard time getting it off.
