Thomas Hopkins Primary Care Physician / Internist MD
He can be a little intimadating a first. Your first visit he gives a very well rehearsed speech, don't let it detour you, he wants to make sure you are committed. He's very knowledgable and very personable and you have to love his bow ties. In addition he has very lovely and helpful women working in his office (behind every good man:) Gina and Tara who are so helpful and very supportive. They do a great job and I highly recommend them.
Dr. Hopkins is THE doctor to go to if you are considering WLS. Pre/post op patients are his primary practice and he knows what he's doing. Having him as my primary care physician probably knocked months off of the time I had to wait for a surgery date. His office staff is great, too, very encouraging and so helpful.
When I first told him I wanted to have the surgery, he gave me a very specific list of the things that i needed to have done, so when i first met with the surgeon (yesterday), i had finished all of the requirements and was able to be scheduled for the next surgery appointment available.
He's just a really cool guy. He's also the doctor for a local news station, so you can see him on tv(which I didn't even know about until after I met him in his office and saw all of the TV equipment there).
