Dr. Hopkins took his time to listen to me and seemed to now exactly in which way to ask questions as to not offend me and to keep me talking about some very touchy issues. He tells you like it is and he makes sure you understand what you need to do to make this surgery a success.

I think the world of Dr. Hopkins. I find I can talk to him freely and he has always been there to help me. I think his staff is great too. I have found them very supportive of all my dreams and ambitions.

He can be a little intimadating a first. Your first visit he gives a very well rehearsed speech, don't let it detour you, he wants to make sure you are committed. He's very knowledgable and very personable and you have to love his bow ties. In addition he has very lovely and helpful women working in his office (behind every good man:) Gina and Tara who are so helpful and very supportive. They do a great job and I highly recommend them.

Dr. Hopkins is THE doctor to go to if you are considering WLS. Pre/post op patients are his primary practice and he knows what he's doing. Having him as my primary care physician probably knocked months off of the time I had to wait for a surgery date. His office staff is great, too, very encouraging and so helpful.

When I first told him I wanted to have the surgery, he gave me a very specific list of the things that i needed to have done, so when i first met with the surgeon (yesterday), i had finished all of the requirements and was able to be scheduled for the next surgery appointment available.

He's just a really cool guy. He's also the doctor for a local news station, so you can see him on tv(which I didn't even know about until after I met him in his office and saw all of the TV equipment there).
