When initially contacted was told I wouldhave to pay the fee for testing and report up front, and if insurance reimbursed then I would get my up front payment back. Found out later that she recieved payment from insurance and refused to return all up front money. Eventually after complaint was filed with insurance company she returned aprox. 80% of money paid.
Very professional experience, though her personal office not what I would expect of a psychologist. Didn't seem very conducive to "opening up" with personal issues. This wasn't a warm and relaxed expereince, but provided what I needed to satisfy my insurance requirement.
I went to Dr. Goldfarb at the refferal of Dr Esti to get a Psych. eval.
Dr. Goldfarb reported that I was not a good canadate for surgury at this time as I needed to seek therapy for my non-compliance issues and binge eating issues. During the eval I told Dr. Goldfarb that I have been in theropy for 6 yrs and I have been inpatient eating disorder treatment 4 times in the past 2 yrs.So in the past 6 yrs I have been to close to 1/2 dozen theripists. What more does she want?????
I couldn't believe it. It is not as though I have not exausted all other avenues and deciding to have surgery was not easy
