Can we drink Pop? Diet?

The first one I tried post-op burned like hell. I stayed off of them for about 9 months post-op. Now I'm not addicted any more but I will have 1 can over ice in the afternoon at work.

I drink diet.  My doc once said the only way to outeat a DS completely is liquids loaded with sugar.  And it's probably true!

Statistics show people who had WLS and drink soda (diet or regular)  lose slower and gain weight back. That's not worth it to me.

Some people let it go a little flat before drinking.

I had a serious habit before WLS for diet pepsi and I'm not looking to start it back up. Of course now I have
a serious crystal light habit. :)

Before my DS, I used to drink a 12 pack of Diet Coke every other day. Since the DS I have maybe 4-5 soda's a week. My Dr advised me no diet soda, to drink regular, and that is what I drink, but I probably have 10 bottled waters(or more) for every soda.

Just to let you know that the carbonation in sodas cannot stretch out your stomach pouch any more than food or water can. I drink one once in a great while. Sometimes a diet one sometimes regular. I really do not like them like I use too and they cause my bowels to be acidic.
