HI!

My surgery itself went very well and I was in the hospital from Tues. to Friday because I am some trouble with nausea and the protein shakes staying down. At 3 weeks out I was having a lot of nausea and always felt like passing out when I bent over and just plan felt horrible. I called the doctor's office and they got me right in. Dr. Hill thought I might have an ulcer so he put me on protonixs and calafate, which has helped immensely. He also took me off one of my bp med's and reduced the dose by half in the second bp med so the dizziness and weakness has now gone away. Feeling so much better. Now if the scale would cooperate, lol. I stayed the same weight for weeks 3 and 4 and just finally lost 1 pound. Getting a little frustrated but the nurse said to try and up my protein and water intake. Which honestly at this stage is easier said then done. My mind is working overtime...is it my age?, what am I doing wrong?, and maybe this was a mistake.

How are you doing? It looks like you have doing great! Sorry it took me a little bit to reply but have been busy around my house trying to catch everything up. Take care and thank you for dropping me a line!

I am getting the DS (as long as insurance approves it which they told me they will as soon as it's submitted) here so far I enjoy everyone I've come in contact with at the program. I don't feel like just another number.

Hi there!  I am having the sleeve on 4/20 with Dr. Hill!  I started my 2 week pre-op diet today and it's going well so far.  Do you have a surgery date yet?  I have had a wonderful experience so far as well with everyone at AMC.

I will be having my RNY at the Adirondack Medical Center by Dr. Michael Hill. So far, I have been impressed with the Bariatric Program there and they are a Center of Excellence! The staff have all been wonderful through this process. I am hoping to get an April surgery date.
