I Got My Approval for Surgery!!!!
I saw Dr Cheung yesterday at the Windsor bariatric clinic & he was very happy with my progress and all my tests results. He gave me his wholehearted approval for surgery and told me that he thinks that I'm an excellent candidate! I was floating on air! Now, I do still have to see the dietician & SW next week & yesterday I was given an appt with the physiotherapist, but Dr Cheung didn't feel that their reports would be anything other than positive. It's funny - he suggested that I switch from Guelph to Toronto for my surgery as Guelph is so backed up right now & I laughed & told him that I was already planning to tell him that I wanted to go to Toronto, so it's nice that we both agreed about it. I was told that after I see the physiotherapist, I'll be booked for my surgical education class then I'll get my appointment to meet the surgeon. I know that it's still a ways out but I'm finally starting to feel as though there's a light at the end of the tunnel for me! I'm SO excited right now!
