Hey there,

Has anyone used Dr. Thoma...he works out of Hamilton?

If you have what was your opinion?  Can you give me an idea of cost...I need a breast lift, leg lift, tummy tuck and arm lift.  Was anything covered by OHIP?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jackie

Not familiar with this surgeon.

To get an idea of cost each area of the body will be around 6-7K. If you combine surgeries it is usually a little less. None of the procedures you have mentioned are covered by OHIP.

OHIP will sometimes cover Panniculectomy and Breast Reduction.

I would suspect that everyone's costs would vary

...because I am sure that no two patients would have the same type of body, distribution of skin and nor would they require the same amount of surgery etc etc etc...

do you have an app't scheduled with this surgeon??

if so it's best to wait until your consult to get an idea of the cost.....from my knowledge OHIP will only cover a pannilectomy.....if you require a tummy tuck, I would assume there would be addiitonal costs.

as far as the brachio (arm) that from what I have heard is not covered becaus eit is considered cosmetic...and a breast lift...well that a possibility if you have pain associated with heavy breasts..not sure about if OHIP would cover becaus ethey are saggy.

good luck with it all

Thanks.

No I don't have a consultation booked yet.  I'm only 16 months out and won't be having the surgery until next year at the earliest.  I was just trying to get an idea of cost and what, if anything, might be covered by OHIP.

Of course based on Linda's response to cost...I will probably not be able to do anything for a good many years.  Sigh.

Dr Thoma performed my extended tummy tuck - all was excellent....

Just prior to going in to operating room - several nurses were checking my vitals - when they found out who my surgeon was they all indicated how excellent he was - conservative....which I like

Cost all in was $8500
