it seems that Ottawa has picked up the pace a bit in regards to their surgery timeline. Does anyone see this as the case? How long have most have you been waiting when going thru Ottawa>?

Im still pretty new .... my time line should be below. last i heard they were telling ppl at a recent orientation the wait between orientation and first appt is 12-18 months....at my orientation i was told 9 months...i waited 7....who knows, i think they over estimate to prevent ppl from getting too impatient

How exactly do your prepare for that! I guess I am lucky that I have some time to figure that out. Do you know the type of things that they will ask?

Hi, My referral went in April 2011 and I had my appointment with the surgeon yesterday (July 31) and today (Aug1) they called me with a surgery date. My timeline is below.

Welcome. My referral went in September 2010 and I had surgery in December 2011. It depends as well on what your health is like and how many tests you need to have before surgery. Also it seems sometimes that some people zip through like there is an express lane that they forgot to mention.

Yes, I guess it would make sense that if you had "perfect" health there would be a shorter wait time. I suppose it is the other appointments that can hold up the process.
i am just happy to be in the "queu" :)
