About how long?...
Hi all - I haven't been on here for awhile, but wanted to check in with whomever might know....I have completed all of my appointments, blood work/PATT is finished. So, the Social Worker says I just wait for the surgeon to call....and then.....
I'm with Dr Sullivan, VSG, no current health concerns, St. Joe's...anyone have feedback on about how long from now until optifast/surgery...assuming I'm not asked to have any tests? I have a cousin who is a nurse and will be staying with me throughout the whole thing and just after and she keeps asking so that she can book time off..
Just wondered if anyone had any approximate time lines?
Thanks,
Kerry

I'm going through HRRH as well. My surgeon is Dr. Huynh. Once all of my appointments were completed I phoned the surgeons office myself to ask what the next step was. They booked me in to see him when I called and told me that would be the time I pick up my optifast and set the date for surgery. I think being a little proactive helps with this process. At least it has with me :) Just remember to be very polite :)

yup...call the bariatric clinic and they will give you his office number at least that's what they did for me.
Sorry I would call tomorrow hrrh and say you got the green light they wi te you to all the dr and when you call the dr office let them know that you got the green light from social worker the nut and nurse and she wi book you a date. The. She si request hour file from hrrh a d then call you she. You see the surgeon again and do your pre op. I go she'd myasthenia appointment sept 26 and I'm in for nov 6 . Hope this helps. Stay positive and check to see what six weeks looks like. Good luck
Hi Crystal...I couldn't understand alot of your message....but, we have the same Dr - you are out of St Joe's as well then? I JUST had my blood work done this week at my final follow up with SW/Diet. The social worker just said, "now you wait for the surgeon to call you". I have tried to be pretty proactive, but didn't know if the file had to go back to the surgeon first, and then they call me...
I think I'll give it a week and then make some calls....
Thanks everyone

Sorry for the spelling my cell phone auto corrects and I can't see what reay being typed and maybe if I put on my glasses that might help. Today call the clinic let them know you are now finished with all your appointmen and they will tell you to call dr Sullivan's office and the lady who answers the phone will say she's waiting on an email to say you are completed. Let her know that you are aware that surgeries are Bering booked for six weeks. She then will give you a date and request your file from the clinic. She will then give you a date and tell you she will call you back with all your pre op stuff and a appointment with dr Sullivan to pick up your optifast. Bring cash 200.00 when you see dr Sullivan. Hope this helps I have my glasses on lol
