back pain

I had surgery on the 15th on Nov. Shortly after I can home I started having back pain. Has anyone else had the problem and what  could be the cause?????

It could be gas pains. I get pain in between my shoulder blades. I go out for a walk and try to keep me shoulders back so the air moves around.

I found that I was sore, and figured it was from lying on the operating table, and then in bed.  It worked itself out.

 

However, if you are concerned, you should check with your PCP as there may be an underlying cause.....kidney infection, etc.

If it continues to bother you call the centre you had your surgery at. Better safe then sorry

I had back pain too when I was first home from hospital.  I attributed it to being in such a wonderful, new,  electronic bed (and it was) at the hospital but on my back only and then home to my own bed where I could move freely.  I certainly did not move around much because of the tenderness of the tummy so figured that once I was more mobile and in  less pain, then the better rest I was getting.  I became more comfortable as the days progressed.  Best wishes on your recovery and speedy healing too 

Had it to my surgery was also on the 15th and every day things get better

I had surgery on the 16th and had back pain yesterday and today, and have , today, started sleeping with a pillow under  my knees, and that has helped a lot. I figured it was from all my napping!

Could be, after I rest the pain goes away for a while but always comes back. Hope this goes away soon. I have a follow up appt in Ottawa in Friday.
