First Couch to 5K Run, and Signed up for a 5K!

I did my first Couch to 5K training program today (using a really great free podcast that I downloaded).  It was really tough - I was actually surprised considering I've been walking and even jogging a bit for the last 3 months!  I felt great afterwards though, and am already looking forward to Thursday's session.

I also signed up for a 5K run in May - I do best when I have solid goals to work towards, so figured this was the best way to ensure I keep up with my training.

3 months ago I wouldn't have even considered something like this.  I LOVE my RNY!

You will do just great. Before you know it you will be doing a 10k run and marathon. I find i do much better when I am training for a race. Keep us posted on how you do

Oops I realized my races are in April!  The Harry Rosen Spring Run-Off and the Yonge Street 10K!  However my friend Melanie have been considering the Hazel 5K so I may be there after all!

Wow, 2 10K runs... awesome!  If you do end up doing the Hazel, let me know (although I'm sure my pace will be much slower than yours!).
