HRRH question

Just exploring options in terms of where to ask Kingston for a referral to.

After discharge from HRRH, how long would it be that I would have to remain in Toronto until my check up>

If you live more than an hour away they encourage you to stay either 2 or 5 days .. I cant remember which one

They want you to stay near by for 5 days, but I have heard others stay for 3 days, check up with the surgeon is done at 1 mnth post-op

They want you to stay a week within an hour of the hospital. I live in Peterborough and we book 3 nights at a hotel across the street but after 2 night I felt so good that we checked out and went home.

I had my surgery last Monday at hrrh and we came back to Kingston on Friday morning - discharged Wednesday. I was feeling fine though - no issues.

I to am going through Kingston and referred to HRRH. MY co worker and her bf both had surgery in Toronto and were able to return back to Trenton after surgery. They would likely allow you to come back if you have no issues. As long as you can hop in the car and drive back in 2 hrs if you do have a problem.
