so I feel pretty good, am taking it easy....may even shower today LOL  I am burping, farting and even pooping regularly so that is all so lovely LOL  I just feel overwhelmed...ugh  I know this will pass, I know!  Everyday I will feel more 'normal' and learn more about what my 'normal' life will be.  I am just feeling a little overwhelmed.  I am healing well but drinking/eating 30 mL every 15 minutes is like a full time job!  Then trying to fit in the vitamins, etc.  I have to keep reminding myself not to stress about it, it will all come.  I have a clipboard I am writing everything I put in my mouth down for the first week anyhow.  I also am using the phone app my fitness pal, but I am not even remotely close to getting in the protein I should.  I know I am only day 3....when did you start getting in 80g a day in?  Like yesterday I only had 302 calories!!!  I am SO HAPPY and relieved I have had the surgery and will get a better version of my life back, I just have to take the time now to get me sorted out and more energy.

Congratulations on all your bodily functions well...functioning lol.   I haven't got it all in yet either.  I think at first we just live off the protein and add stuff later.  Getting my vitamins in though!

Chrissy, glad to hear you're home and doing well.  I think you'll find you'll feel even better if you get in the shower and "wash the hospital off". I know it can all seem a little overwhelming at first - you said it exactly right - eating/drinking IS your full-time job right now. Keep at it!

Hi Chrissy, So glad to hear you are doing well!  It is hard to get the protein in.  I just started having two protein drinks daily yesterday.  So I have one premier protein, and one syntrax.  Then with one yogurt daily it is about 62g total.  My soup has a couple grams.  So I am getting about 65-68 right now, one week out.  Once we can add eggs, and some of the other food in the puree stage, should bump it up a bit more.

Take care

judy

Sound like you are doing great. Relax and try to heal. The protein will come.
