What's on Saturday's Menu RNYers?
Morning! I hope to have a lot of people respond today. I really look forward to reading the posts. I am up early again and normally the weekend post is up for grabs by whomever wants to do it so I thought I would go for it today. I weighed and I weigh 124.4 lbs. I lost a little over a pound since Wednesday. I am very pleased. There might be something to this waiting business. I like it! Me like it! Me like it! LOL!
I already had first round of meds and vitamins and am on my first/second (extra large)cup of French vanilla coffee which is wonderful. Then, I am going to drink my two bottles of water and go walking. I plan on enjoying the day with my husband today. Nothing planned. Just taking it easy since I cleaned house yesterday. Probably will read and watch tv. Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday! If you aren't on tomorrow have a blessed Mother's Day! You deserve it!
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Up early too. Wonderful sunshine coming in the window woke me up before my alarm did. Busy day today as we finish moving our oldest son to a different town (Springfield Il) about 30 minutes away from where he lives now. He graduates on Sunday from Illinois College with a BA in political science and philosophy and a minor in theatre. He's ready to graduate but not quite ready for all the realities of the real world like bills. B 1/2c steel cut oats with nuts and 1/2 banana with peanut butter S whole grain crackers with peanut butter L eating out probably some kind of fish with vegetables D not sure ass we will be eating out but I can find some sort of plain meat anywhere S Greek yogurt. On track with vitamins and fluids so far. Since I am up early I will do the treadmill here now and depending on how much walking I do moving my son I will bike in the fitness room at the motel tonight. I will also be brave and put my swimsuit on and enjoy the pool and hot tub. Maybe if I keep moving no one will notice the wrinkly arms and legs! I am 20 months post op and maintaining at 120 today. I won't be on tomorrow so want to wish everyone a wonderful Mother's Day!
Karen, I love the idea of "Maybe if I keep moving no one will notice the wrinkly arms and legs!" That's the secret right there! Just don't stop moving and they can't see what's flopping around!
Happy early Mother's Day to you, I'm sure your sons appreciate how much you do for them.

Good morning Sara and Karen and everyone!
Karen, are any of us ready for bills? Lol! I laughed when I read that. Sara, sounds like you have a nice day planned.
My jet lag is kicking my butt. I didn't have any going over (which is weird) but I'm waking up so early! Got up at 4:30 today. Ugh.
Time since surgery: 5 months this coming week
B: syntrax matrix mint cookie shake (just ordered another 5 lb tub!)
l: 2 Oz boar's head honey turkey and some goat cheese and asiago (bringing a fruit and cheese plate to a friends to meet their new baby)
d: not sure. Going out with a friend. Either Peruvian chicken or sushi (both of our favorites and in my neighborhood)
e: off to gym in a few. Want to do 3 miles on treadmill and then 50 minute personal training session. Eeek!
W: I will get it in!
V: Taking first batch now!
Have an awesome Saturday, everyone!
Didn't I read somewhere that jet lag is more of a problem when you're going "backwards" as opposed to "forwards"? Maybe it's in my head, but I'm fairly sure I remember that from somewhere.
As usual you have the kind of active social life that I envy, Emily! Enjoy your day, especially that personal training session.

Fruit and cheese plates for new parents should be mandatory. I was there not so long ago and my life would have been so much better with a fruit and cheese plate in the fridge!
Woke up to deary skies and rain but they have cleared and it is sunshiny beautiful out there! I was going to go to a thrift store with my family but my two littles are sick, poor babes. So i think I might leave them on the couch with books and cartoons and head outside and garden all day.
B: 2 eggs, half a tomato
B2: sausage with tomatos, peppers, cabbage
L: salad with garbanzo beans
S: yogurt with fruit
D: roasted chicken, asparagus, beet salad, and mashed rutabega
S: popcorn
Amazing how much food I eat these days. I think my metabolism just continues to improve, yahoo! Heading out to soak up the sun and pull weeds. My idea of heaven honestly!!
Gardening can be such a relaxing activity despite all the physical exertion. Enjoy your growing things, and hope the kiddos feel better soon Louise!

Welp, it's a gorgeous day here, and I have absolutely NO motivation to get outside and enjoy any of it. Part of the issue is that for the first time I have quite a bit of soreness from my workout. I didn't make it to the gym last night until 11PM (thank you 24 Hour Fitness!) and totally enjoyed having the place to myself, but today, ugh. I kept up with everything I'd done the day before except I could only get 18 minutes on the bike, so I'm not sure what the difference is. My arms are killing me, though, and my calves. I'm about to head into a hot shower to try to loosen everything up a bit.
The husbeast has been working so many hours lately that I won't drag him out of the house for anything today. He gets to do what he wants, whenever he wakes up. For me, I'll decide on something after my shower. In the meantime I'll definitely get on my treadmill tonight, but that's as much as I'm willing to commit to! I should go walk outside, since it's so nice; we'll see.
About five months out, today looks like this:
Vitamins and supplements - morning doses done, on track.
Water - A little behind, I'll pick up the pace a bit. Want to get to 100 oz today.
Exercise - Treadmill tonight, I'll shoot for two miles at a moderate pace.
