Need to vent...
nearly 55 lbs lost since December (yay)...however it feels like it was all list in my face and fingers! I'm still wearing the same size!
and I havent lost anything this week...at another stall:
i know the scale will eventually move, and eventually my clothes will be too big to wear....but for now, I have to look at my rings, too big on my fingers...and stay motivated.
Sizes are odd. I had to lose 50 pounds or so before I dropped a size. It took about 35 pounds to reach the next size, 20 pounds for the size after that, and so on.
Those in really small sizes can go up or down a size with only a 5 pound change. Bigger sizes need a lot more weight.
Hang in there, stick to the plan.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

Are you taking your measurements? When I was wearing larger sizes most had spandex so stretched far beyond what their size was. It did take a while to move to smaller sizes when I was a 3X. Now about 5 pounds makes my clothes too tight.
Hang in there.

What grim said is right. when you are large, you have to lose a lot of weight to move down in size. When you get smaller (no kidding) 5 lbs can knock you into a lower size. It did for me! I was a size 8 at 145 lbs...now at 140 I am a size 4/6.
You cant get ring guards/sizers put in your rings at the jewlery store. Should run you 2-4 bucks per ring. they are temporary.
My feet lost weight. Istnat that crazy!

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
Been in your situation before where I went from 330 to 270 while wearing the same clothes the whole time. It's surprising how long they stayed on my body. I think they were too tight when I was on the heavier end.
Maybe try putting on something that was previously too small for you. Even if its still too small keep trying it on every week or two. You'll notice it getting easier to slip on as you lose weight.
Like others have posted, the clothes/styles we wear at larger sizes can go a long way. I just peeked at your before and 2month post op picts you have posted and it is obvious how far you have come! You have done a great job! Be proud and enjoy this journey. Size drops will be on you soon enough and you will be tugging on your waist band to keep your pants up. A whole new problem category in itself! You are fabulous! KP
Hi Sqlchick,
I am pre-surgery so I have no insight for you. I hope you are getting some reassurance from the vets who are posting here.
I do want to say that I look at picture of you 2 months out and you look AMAZING! Maybe the same top but the difference is obvious! I hope you took measurements and if you didn't, measure today. You're shrinking! All your hard work will certainly continue to pay off.
Hang in there and thank s for the inspiration.
