I've wanted one for awhile, so you just may have tipped me over into going for it.  I love sous vide chicken!

HA!  I made banana baked oatmeal and added a scoop of vanilla protein powder to it.  Super yummy.

Banana baked oatmeal?  Do you have a recipe?  I haven't had any oatmeal yet since surgery, it always seems carb heavy to me.  But who am I kidding, I mean I ate a snickers bar no problem this weekend!  Not that I am proud of that, but I mean compared to oatmeal...WTF brain why is one ok and not the other???

Sure!

1 c. old fashioned oats

2 medium bananas, mashed

1 c. milk (I used regular whole milk)

1 whole egg

3 egg whites

1/2 c. vanilla protein powder

1 tsp. baking powder

1 TB vanilla extract

Mix, bake at 350 in a sprayed 8x8 pan for like 30 minutes?  Or, you know, until it's done.  LOL  I cut it into 9 servings, and according to MFP, it's 122 calories per, with 9 grams of protein and 15 grams of carbs.  Not terrible.

I am having a terrible week unrelated to WLS stuff.  Trying to keep my little head above water is about all I can do right now. Skip the rest of this post if depressing is just not going to work for you today.  I actually feel bad even posting about things because honestly it is just sad and miserable stuff. So...skip if you like I totally would if I could.

A very dear friend and co-worker committed suicide Sunday and as the counselor in my work place I am having to deal with making death notifications by the dozens, work with surviving co-workers, and try not to cry all the time myself.  Uhgg!  This week can go blow itself straight to Hades. I am a mess.

QOTD: 5 weeks. No plans for long vacation.  I use my time to take long weekends every so often. I am thinking I need one soon.

QOTD#2: My husband and I have five children between us 2 sons and 2 daughters were mine and 1 daughter was his.  Now they are all ours. Three currently still at home: 19yo home from college for the summer, 18yo graduating from high school this week, and 15yo freshman. Next year....only one kid will be home. :O  Getting a new puppy this weekend.  Will post pictures.  And we have an old mutt hound dog named Lucy.

Food wise, not really sure.  Forgot my lunch in my morning haze and now the bosses are ordering food.  I did request BBQ which should give me great meat options for CAMAW. Wish me luck.

B: Cheese stick (had left one in the fridge at work by accident...score!)

L: Unknown

S: Left over unknown?

D: Ham steak and colby

S: Provolone

Oh, Elizabeth, I am so terribly sorry to hear about your very dear friend and co-worker.  My heart goes out to you, your fellow co-workers and their family.
