Car repair blues

Just need to share my miserable day... two weeks ago in the midst of our heat wave, the AC went out in my car.  The mechanic couldn't fit it in the schedule until today. After waiting in their lovely waiting area, they come and tell me that it needs a new compressor.  Which of course they have order. So rheumatoid will fix it next week - the same day our other car is going in the shop.  We're looking at over $1,000 in car repairs. 

That truly sucks. I'm so sorry. I've had my share of car problems and it's never easy or fun to have to go through that. We have quite a few ( too many ) vehicles, and there have been times when the majority of them have had something wrong with them. Last summer and into fall, it was my truck, my husband's truck, AND my daughter's car that were all in need of some type of repair. His truck was drivable as long as I added power steering fluid every 20 miles or so. That was fun. 

That sucks!! It happened to me last month. I thought briefly about not repairing it, but I live in Georgia and there's just no way. cost me $1200. Ugh!! I feel your pain. :(

We had to spend $700 o. Ours this week. And $500 last week. And we are going on vacation. Puts a slight damper on our plans.
