Byetta Injections for weight loss

I'm having great difficulty keeping my weight off and someone told me about Byetta which is an injectable medicine that reduces the desire for food. Does anyone have any info on this? Is it safe for people who have had WLS?

My mother-in-law was prescribed Byetta injections because of her diabetes, it totally took away her appetite and she lost 20 pounds in a couple of months. It also made her very nauseous so she made the decision to stop the Byetta and asked her Dr. for something else. While she was happy about the weight loss she was not happy about feeling crummy all the time, and that is what the Byetta did to her. Good luck! Anita
