Now the real test....can they keep it off when the cameras, sudden fame, trainers, etc are all gone?

Sadly to say....most don't once that show is over.   Nice fantasy while it lasts though.

Last year after the network aired the special that showed the previous winners, and all the weight they had regained, that was the thing that made me pick up the phone and call the surgeons office and schedule my VSG. I had done all the research, and had been planning for it, but that is what sealed the deal, and made me certain that I was doing it for real, and right now.
I had been one of the 95% plus who lose weight and regain all and then more, and done that multiple times. I figure if the people on the biggest loser who actually won, and were in the spotlight for it could not keep the weight off, it was certain that with my history and having already demonstrated repeated failure, I was due a major change in my lifestyle.

Love my sleeve!!!

Wishing you all the best, Carol

I qui****ching it after Jillian started whoring out fat cleansing products/flushes, and her numerous times of making the fatties run off the treadmills and fall into walls. The exploitation of obese people on this show sickens me to the core. After the report that came out showing that most of the contestants had regained 78% of the weight they had lost, obviously 6-8 hours in the gym with 3000 calories pushed daily doesn't work long term. While I congratulate them on losing and winning ****pots of money, honestly, I can't help but feel saddened that stats don't lie and 95% of them will regain because "life on the ranch" is just that "on the ranch" it's not our day in and day out life.

I was most impressed with the twins, Don and Dan.  They looked amazing!  I thought that they wouldn't even show up for the finale because of the way they did things on the show.  I was really really in awe of their progress!!!

Hannah looked H O T!!!

Where was Rulon?

I don'****ch it at all.  I feel so sorry for those people who put themselves in the spotlight and go thru the fight of losing the weight only to regain it..  I also saw a piece of the show where they brought back the last 6 or 7 winners and ALL had gain most or all of the weight.  I think to put people on public display like a freak show and then find out they gained that weight back is demoralizing.  Reality TV is going into the toilet.  I like the reality shows like the Amazing Race and Survivor but not when it becomes very personal.

I no longer watch it either. Fascinating at first, but how can anyone with a life keep up that kind of weight loss ? I work for a living. 8 plus hours a day, and commute time, and I try to get in 7 or so hours of sleep. Then there is laundry, housecleaning, taking care of my family, run a few errands....I am lucky to find an hour a day to exercise, and then prepare and eat meals.....much less 8 hours a day to devote to exercise and body sculpting.....

They can't keep the weight loss up, because it is unrealistic to have the kind of schedule year around, to do that. I think they are being exploited.
