Sleeved for a week!

I just wanted to give a quick update on things since I gat sleeved.

Hospital stay-I hate hospitals. My last few visits involved watching my parents die. They freak me out. My goal was to do what I was told so I could get that release paper-seriously. No complications, stayed Friday and Sat night. Had a few lazy nurses a 1 that was good. They brought way more food than I could tolerate. They gave me nothing on Friday. I was wheeled in the OR at 7:29 on the dot and was aware of the recovery room at 12:30 with a sore ass throat, and dry mouth. I was not given water until Sat around 7am.

Home-I was sent home with a drain. That sucker was annoying. Not painful but I could feel it. Had to drain it and measure the outputs. A bit itchy and it pulled a bit. I felt 100% better once it came out on Wednesday. (The removal hurt--just me though).
I am working on the protein and water. Still can't get much down quickly but better each day. My taste did not change. I think I am the only one to experience this. I have always prefered sweet stuff so i am ok w/ my Jay Robb concoction, jello, popcicles etc.

Diet-I can start purees today. Something about that makes me nervous but I will start around dinner time. Going to try some tuna/green beans. I can't stand Greek Yogurt ugh! It is nasty to me. Since my Gall Bladder was removed I can't do dairy/fats The reaction is less than 5 mins and let me say I won't be getting constipated.

Weight-Here is the exciting part-I am down 13 pounds (probably 15 by tomorrow am!). I am amazed. I have no regrets. I have not been at this weight since my dad passed in 2003. When I go back to work folks are going to freak out. Hubby notices my loss but I don't.

LOL. I have spent all morning trying to figure out what I was going to try. I settled on tuna. Like you my sleeve is bigger and I just tasted a tiny amount and it went down with no issues. Still going to blend it though.

Wow, no problem with the tuna!!!  That is great news.  I like white tuna a lot  especially (this sounds nuts) when I am PMSing.  It is probably the salt craving.  I can't wait until I can try.  Ooh you've got me thinking chicken salad, egg salad???

Enjoy!!!

Strange how the plans are so different. That liquid stage was making me *****y!
I can't get much down before I am full and I measure every thing.

I did my measurements and I lost 2 inches off my hips and upper arms!
