So.. When i first had a consultation and stuff for wls, i had insulin resistance, hypertension, and pcos... they accepted me.

my regular endocrin had a glucose tolerance done, without metformin 1 week prior, to see what my levels were without it.. ive been on it constantly since i was 9..

well. i just got my labs back. guess whos type 2 now? and has hypothyroidism? ME!!!!

this is the stuff ive been checking for, or my parents have had checked, since i was 5. ive been on metformin so long, no doctor thought to check my levels without it till i switced to an endocrin, from a GI doctor.

I love my endocrin. I'm upset i have it.. but i don't have to taken insulin as of now.. and surgery should be in less than 2 months.. so.. according to them that'll fix the type2.

gah. a lots happened today. glad to finally find all this out though.

HI   don't worry you will be OK, in a few months you'll get the surgery and you will feel and look great  I have hypothyroidism too not a big deal  now that you know you have it, as long as you take your medicine EVERYDAY!!!  you will be OK, its going to take a lil while but we will all get there

You should be OK. I'm type 2 but havent taken any diabetes meds (metformin, actos and glipizide) since surgery and my sugas have averaged 116 off a fast. Hang in there and you will find it is worth it.
