I am 3 weeks post op, I was losing weight, started at 199 on the day of my surgery and on Monday (yesterday) weighed 186.5.  Today I weighed 188.5!   Yesterday I had half an egg for breakfast, 1 oz of salmon for lunch, 1 oz of yogurt for a snack, 1 oz of turkey for dinner and two 8 oz protein shakes.  So this is about 500 calories.  to gain a pound you need to eat 3500 calories, how could I have gained 2?  Has anyone experienced this? or know how this can happen?
thanks

It's either water weight or gas. It happens to all of us honey.. stop weighing yourself daily! It'll drive you crazy!! I do it once a week and life is much better! :D

Its maddening I can feel your pain completely. I lost 15 the week following surgery (we have almost the same date) then I gained two and have held on to them for 13 days with no movement! The highest calories I've eaten was 595 one day! I just keep the faith that one of these days I will be rewarded...

Keep on keepin on!

Thank you so much everyone! I feel better now :)     I'm so happy this site exists, I had a lot of education about the surgery but I guess I still have things to learn.
