OK, I'm trying Zumba!

My gf and I have been talking about getting more aerobic exercise in, and our walks have been way too hit or miss.  Mostly miss.  I told her I was interested in trying Zumba and she said she'd do it if we could find a 7:00 p.m. class that didn't interfere with Pilates (Monday and Wednesday).  Well, lo and behold I found out today that there are *two* 7:00 p.m. classes - one on Tuesday and one on Thursday, at the same place we take Pilates on Saturday.

I'm having some pre-Zumba anxiety.  Will I trip over my uncoordinated feet?  Will I collapse from over-exertion?  Is it really as fun as so many of you say?  I was definitely too uncoordinated for step aerobics!

I am crossing my fingers that I like it, because it will be a great excuse to leave work at a decent hour!

I just tried Zumba for the first time this week and I had the same fears that you did and you know what?...I did just fine!  And it went so fast!  Everybody is so busy worrying about keeping up that they don't pay attention to anyone but themselves and if you get too tired or off rhythm, take a second or two break and go again.  You'll do fine :)

My mom and I do Zumba 2x a week. It's super fun, the time passes really quickly and the music is great. Some places even give you fun beaded skirts that make noise when you shake! Enjoy it, don't worry what others thing, just have a good time and get some exercise :D

I just signed up to take it too!  I am excited.  A new gym just opened down the street and I just joined!  Going to try my hand at zumba and spinning!  I am loving my sleeve~

I went to zumba at my heaviest pre op. I was nervous my first class but I was amazed! I could keep up with class and I could shake better than some of the skinny biotches! You will do fine! It is addicting. Be prepared for some smoking dance moves (eg. Hip/ butt shaking).

I Love Zumba Too!  It's a great workout and the latin music is a fun change to what I normally listen to at home.

I just has surgery on Tuesday, so I am going to wait a couple of weeks before I start to Zumba again, but I can't wait to get started.   Just walking for now...
