low carb sf ice cream ?

in some of the smoothie recipes, they call for low carb and sugar free ice cream.what kind of ice cream is that,,, i didnt know that they made low carb ice cream !!!! yummmmooooo, well within limits lol !!!!

Breyers icecream has a carb smart kind.   I bought vanilla the last on the shelf plus my fav is vanilla anyways.  It's yummy, tastes just like reg. icecream with less guilt plus I only had a few spoonfuls instead of the whole thing lol  Kerry

Some of the stores have a generic, like Publix. But be careful not to have too much or too often. They are often loaded with sugar alcohols.

I've also heard the CarbSmart Breyers is good. Like another poster said, though, be careful because ice cream is a definite slider food. If it was a trigger for you pre-op, you might want to be careful keeping it in the house.

Of course I am very aware of this as I just ate a 1/2 cup of Edy's drumstic****cream (TERRIBLE CHEAT) that my husband insisted on buying. He buys it again and he's going to lose a limb. I am definitely going to avoid having ice cream around from here on out.
