My Sleeve Regrets

Someone recently asked me the down side to getting the sleeve, so here is my list...

1. Had to get all new clothes.
2. It takes more water to fill my bathtub with me in it now.
3. I can no longer use my bad knees and back as an excuse to not excersize.  Since weight loss they dont hurt anymore.. so excuse out the window.
4. The constant compliments..   arrrgh   alot to take.
5. I paid extra for a obesity scale and now I dont need it.
6. My life insurance had me fill out new paperwork as I can pay less now that I lost so much weight.
7. I dont get to meet the nice flight attendent on the plane when I ask for the seat belt extender.
8. I have to tie my own shoes now that I can.
9. I also have to zip up my own zipper on my jacket because I can now see the bottom of it.
10. no excuse for a pedicure as I can reach my own toes.

As you can see there are MANY down sides to haveing the VSG

yep,  I was charged more because my weight was considered a risk factor like smoking is.

OMG yours and mine are nearly duplicated! LOL! I have to add:

1. Won't get two seats on the plane anymore to myself
2. Can't use the "too big" excuse to avoid riding roller coasters with my kids
3. No more excuses to buy shoes with no laces, I can reach just fine now

Love this post

add to these:

lower grocery bills

less lawn chair breakage

less frequent running of dishwasher and washing machine (smaller clothes take more to make a load)

need to use retin-a for facial wrinkles due to deflated fat face

LOL, great list! So, so many regrets about the sleeve. Tsk, tsk!

Here are a few of mine:

* plantar faciitis is gone, so no excuse to ride the elevator instead of taking the stairs
* people look me in the eye -- hence I felt the need to wear eye makeup for the first time in 15 years
* fewer doctor appointments keeping me out of work means more actual work time
* all-you-can-eat restaurants not such a good deal anymore

Great list!  But you can still can treat yourself to a pedicure every once in a while.

lol...my thoughts exactly! I've always been able to reach my toes, but I'll still be getting pedicures!
