Hi Gina.  Just curious as to what your vitD level is right now and how much you're supplementing?  There's a vit guru on the RnY board who suggests 5,000iu/day if your level isn't around 80.  My NUT suggest taking 14,000/per week just to maintain a good level.  I've been researching lab values lately and was just curious.  Thanks!  ~Jennifer

*just want to add for anyone reading this....know your levels and do your research (check with doc) before adding supplements.

Sure, my level was 12.  I take a weekly suppliment that is 50000iu and they have suggested that I take an additional 4000iu daily.  Since I just had my surgery, I have not added in the additional 4000iu daily, but I am still taking the 50000iu weekly.  I will get my levels checked again at my 4 week post op appointment and adjustments might be made at that time.

That sounds perfect.  I'm at 45 right now and want to get up to around 80 so I'm taking approx 5,000iu/daily right now.  Just want to mention...the increase in D has caused constipation so I'm also taking colace daily as well.  Just something to look out for ya know?  Best of luck to you on your journey!  ~Jennifer

Mine is:

5 Calcium Citrate Chews per day (spaced out)
1 Cooper Complete Multi
1 1000iu Vitamin D
1 Mega Red

I've had a hysterectomy so no need for iron.  The calcium chews are from Bariatric Advantage and they are like little treats 5 times per day.  I especially like the chocolate and lemon.  Hope this helps.

I take:
2 multivitamins daily
1600 mg calcium citrate daily
vitamin D 2000 mg daily (with what is in my multi, it comes to a total of 4000 mg)
B12 500 mg sublingual (3x week)

1 Krill oil for Omega 3 daily
1000 mg Vitamin C daily
I've recently added the Vitamin C and Krill, the rest are basics that I've taken for the past year.

I have a 7 day pill container that I fill weekly.  By using this, I can see exactly what I need to take every day and not miss any doses.
