Feeling amazingly good.
My surgery was Tuesday. Aside from some severe back pain ( I have a bad back), it went beautifully. I came home yesterday and felt even better instantly. No pain meds needed, getting in all my fluids and protein. Of course at this point, that means drinking shakes for the most part. I have zero hunger, and have even resumed making simple meals for the family and taking care of my chickens myself.
I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. It just seems so easy right now.
Hubby is scheduled to have his surgery on March 14th, so he is closely watching everything I'm going through. I can see the wheels in his head turning, wondering if it will be so smooth for him as well. So excited to be on the other side of the bench.
I did come home 10 pounds heavier from all the fluids they pumped into me. However in 1 day, I've lost 9 of those fluid pounds. Have to keep reminding myself that its fluid and not real weight.

I had the same experience. After the first 2-3 days of getting the gas and fluids out, had very little pain, no nausea, no drains, no problem getting in fluids and proteins. My other shoe dropped when about week 2-1/2 I seemed to stop losing weight, or was losing very, very slowly. Then, changed my breakfast food from grits and oatmeal to scrambled egg whites and the weight has been coming off again very well - a pound a day for the past 8 days. The only thing I need to remember to do is make sure I'm having a bowel movement fairly regularly. I took milk of magnesia the other night and it is pretty gross tasting. Going to look into miralax mixed with crystal light and see if that is less gross.
I had my surgery on Monday and feel especially good too. I am able to get all my fluids and protein in (knock on wood) and have had no pain.
I'm so thankful that things have gone so good so far and hope everyone has a successful surgery.

Yay! Me too. I thought this surgery was a lot easier than childbirth and I am so glad you also had an easy time. :)
