My doctor submitted my paper work about two weeks ago to my insurance and nothing yet.   This waiting I driving me crazy.   Do you guys think this is a bad sign?

You could always call your insurance company and see where they are in the process.

I agree. Call the insurance company. I wouldn't read too much into how long it's taking... sometimes things get backed up for whatever reason.

Good luck!

It is my understanding with my insurance...your paperwork can sit there but when it is assigned a case # is when your case  is actively being worked on. I was also told insurance had a month to respond but most hear back between 2-3 weeks. Again this was UHC and I don't know if same true for all insurances. Good luck hope you hear something this week.

NO My ins.Co told me it could take up to 3 months to be approved, (only took 4 days) so try not to worry.  Can you call the Ins.co to make sure they received all the paperwork?  As far as I was told the Ins. Co has 48 hours to ask surgeons office for anything they think they might be missing. Good Luck.

I was told that the insurance company can take up to 30 business days to make a decision.  Call the insurance co and see what they say.

The more you call and inquire about your status it is documented and they know you are on top of it and won't let it go!! Call and if they say they need more info., get the specifics, call your doc back etc. follow up at every step!! I was originally told it could take 3-4 weeks- I had a specific timeline in my mind for my surgery so I kept calling and following up- my approval was
