 I'm curious as to which goal weights you all picked so thought it might be nice to see where everyone falls-

Starting Weight- 263 (275 highest)
Goal Weight- 150
Age- 36
Gender- f
Height- 5'7"
clothing size- size 8 pants are getting loose, M top
months out- 11 months

Why you picked this goal weight- it seemed like a good number (NEVER thought I'd get there) and the doc was happy with that.

Have you revised your personal goal? Now that I'm almost there, I think I'd like to lose another 10. Everyone keeps telling me no more but I honestly think it's cause they are used to seeing me heavy. I'm not scrawny and think I could stand to lose a few more. I'm barely into the 'normal' BMI range (although I know BMI is deceiving).

I have a small frame. I was 137 when I got married and wanted to get close to that weight. I'm now 128 and letting my body decide where to stop. Regain is a fear and as I approach 40 I know I'd better get as much off now as I can.

I am 5' 8" and my goal weight is 160.  I am 54 years old and have a very clear memory of looking down at a scale when I was a senior in high school and seeing a weight of 160 and thinking to myself....you better be watching your weight.  Fast forward to middle age and I got up to 324 lbs....  Now I have 89 lbs to go till goal. It will be interesting to see whether I reset that as I get closer to that number.  Good question for all. Thx.

I chose 145 because it was the lowest I had been and felt wonderful.  When I hit it, I wanted to lose another 10 as I was terrified of bounceback.  I guess I'm still not done cuz I'm still slowly creeping downward.  Don't want to go below 125 (which is my Dream Weight).  Didn't think I'd ever make it there, but now it seems actually possible - who knows?  Happy where I am...

I am 5'2 1/4 :)  I revised my goal weight downward when I was measured at the Rheumatologist's office and found out I"m not 5'3"  At 129lbs, I am not at 'goal' of 121lbs although I'm a size 2 or 4, generally, and well within the 'normal' BMI range.   I had to up calories, quickly and dramatically several months ago due to health concerns -- effectively going into 'maintenance'.  I have an underlying autoimmune disorder, but I effectively stayed too low on calories for too long along with getting tonsilitis over the holidays. That basically 'crashed' my system.

I recovered, and I am now working to take off the last of the extra fat I'm carrying on my legs, primarily, through a more modest calorie restriction and carb cycling.  My main focus is body composition rather than the scale. I'm at  21-22% body fat.  I'd like to get down a couple more points.

 Starting Weight- 280 the day I decided to do it, 264 day of surgery, 308 highest known (likely a little higher.)

Why you picked this goal weight-Lowest ever weight I dieted down to from my highest ever weight, back when I was 22ish.. took me about a year to lose 100lbs back then, and another 8mo to lose the remainder to 155. Held onto 155-175 for about 5 yrs, then regained to 280 over the next decade..

Have you revised your personal goal? Yep! I want to get as lean as my body will allow, and be healthy.. I'm prob aiming for low 140's-mid/high 130's.. but also looking for a specific BF% in the low 20's.. I wouldn't mind any number on the scale, so long as my BF is on the low side.. I have a bit to go still! I have a smaller frame than I thought I did, who knew?

Goal: BMI slightly under 19 (weight of around 122 pounds)
My belly fat/apron and arm flab are dramatically disappearing the lower and lower I get my BMI. After looking at hundreds of photos of gals with BMI's under 20 I knew I would look best at a lower BMI. I wish I had access to those body fat/lean muscle machines in the big city centers, but I do not, so have to just go on BMI values.

I actually just posted a big blog entry about goal on my personal blog this morning.  My surgeons goal is 200, right now I have my personal goal stated at 185.  I really plan on evaluating that again when I get to 200.  I am going to do a hydrostatic body comp test and twek myself to within a healthy lean muscle mass percentage.

I am 5 5 3/4" tall and my highest wt was 232 (not pregnant). My goal is 140. That is pretty much the middle of the normal BMI range for my height. The lowest weight as an adult that I got to was 147 and I looked skinny and loved it!

I picked 140 because the bmi chart said 98-127 and i thought that was total crap. i thought one of my legs weighs 98 lbs. ha ha ha so i figured i would be happy at 140. we shall see what happens when i get there,
