Amazing!!!

I understand you are saying about being happy with success but bummed with the reminders of how much you had to lose.  I don't feel really excited over losing 130 pounds, and I'm too embarassed to tell anyone in real life how much I've lost... because it just shows how big I was.  Plus I still have a good fifty pounds to lose to reach my goal weight (which, by the way is still technically overweight!)  So... yeah, I understand that feeling.

Still, you are AMAZING.  :)  What a milestone!

Nutshell:

Lost 140 lbs with VSG. (Hooray!!)

got pregnant  (yeaaaa!)

got cancer (boooo!)

regained 40 lbs.   (grrrr!)

In summary: Alive & Grateful.

Yeah, I think the upper end of my normal BMI is 155. I honestly don't know if I can reach that or not. I'm technically still obese for another 4-5 pounds.

I do tell everyone. I made that decision at 100 loss. It's hard with everyone watching now, but it's also some sort of an accountability for me not to fail. At the end of the day, FOR ME ONLY, I'm glad I did, but it was a very tough decision to come to.

At the end of the day, I'm glad I did. I was able to give hope to some other friends (some of whom did surgery themselves and others who simply learned about nutrition from all the research - endless - that I've done and learned about).

HUGS.

Wow...congrats!!! That's awesome!! Makes me thing --- I have twin nearly-10-year-old girls who weigh about 60 lbs each (yep, very skinny girlies!). I need to lose them BOTH!!!

Yep, I've already lost both of my kids in weight. LOL. It's weird to count weight loss in people, but it kind of helps me put it into perspective in some ways.

Yeah, he's 175 which is my current goal weight. I either need to work hard or feed him cheesecake for a week ;)
