Hello out their in VSGuniverse! Glad to join the VSG Family! ). I'm new to this site and have been reading many of the interesting threads people have posted.

I too am excited to share that I received the phone call at 4:00 p.m. today from my Bariatric Clinic .....the nurse called to "make my weekend" as she informed me that my insurance (PreferredOne Minneapolis, MN) has APPROVED the prior authorization for VSG within 24 hours of her submitting the paperwork!! The nurse will be calling me back on Monday to select a date in early to mid December....

I am over the moon with excitement following the long process of dietician visits and the pyschsocial assessment - that started for me back in June 2012.

Can't wait to join the LOSER'S BENCH and to continue on this journey that so many of you are on or are in the process of beginning as well!

GREAT !!!!!   We all know what it is like waiting to here from the insurance company for approval.  Some of us have had a longer wait than others.  Glad yours was so fast.  Best of luck.

Jen - You are right in that it's a nail biter whether you've waited 24 hours or 24 days, and I can certainly empathize with anyone who may be having to appeal the insurance denial too.
