My plan for tomorrow... AND I'm sticking to it!!!
Breakfast: Coffee (lord I love coffee.... well I love the stuff I put in my coffee.. half & half and splenda) some sort of protein (not along with the coffee of course)
Dad's House Early Lunch 11:30am: 3 oz Turkey and a spoonful of green beans, maybe 1 bite of broccoli casserole that I am bringing.
Mom's House early afternoon 1:00pm: not eating, just visiting
Sister-in-law's house 4:00pm: 3 oz Turkey again or Ham and a spoonful of something green.
I REALLY want to stay away from any form of desert. I want to have the privilege of saying the next day that a holiday did not beat me this year. Specially with all of the whining that I have been doing on here lately...lol I wonder if it will offend any of my family if I bring my scale along with me???? I don't care, I'm taking it anyways! I am horrible at eyeballing portions!
Happy Thanksgiving to ALL of you and many blessings to you and your family!!!
Ok, I am right there with ya! I am at mother in-laws, who is an AMAZING cook. There are sweets EVERYWHERE. Right now, there are 5 Pies on the table, haystacks, homemade cookies, m&m's, etc. I have decided, along with Elina, that I am not to touch ANY sweets. This is my poison. I can say no to the rolls, no big deal, but the true test will be the sweets.
Elina told me to remember that I am the hero in this by saying no, not the victim.
Lets do this together and know we are not alone.
I am cooking a small meal, ham, homemade cranberry sauce (no sugar), and a low carb pumpkin dessert from one of the WLS food blogs (can't remember which one). My friend is bringing a sweet potato dish made with SF Torrani. Three out of the five who will be at dinner have had WLS, so we are purposely only making a small amount of a few things.
