Back in the Hospital

what a stinkin day. At 2am this morning I drove myself to the local community hospital with what felt like were kidney stone symptoms. By 6am they ran all their tests and were convinced I need a CT scan at the hospital 80 minutes away where my sleeve was done. Im laying there waiting til 945 on their sissy doses of pain killers. Ambulance finally arrives and off I go to the mother ship hospital. I get there and they repeat all kinds of tests, they make me drink the nastiest prep for the CT. At 4:30 they tell me we cant find a kidney stone. But we're keeping you overnight because there is some sort of problem with your Appendix. You may require immediate surgery. They tell me some members of the surgery team will be in to explain. Im wheeled upstairs, next thing they do is add IV antibiotics as a precaution. It's now 830 and no one has come talk to me. Im hit the nurse call button repeatedly and ask why hasnt the surgery team come to talk to me. Then I find out my personal surgeon who did my sleeve is off on Christmas Break. They also tell me Im being kept overnight to be monitored in case I have a big Appendix problem. I havent eaten since Friday, Im not allowed to drink anything.
Im stressing because I spent the Holidays last year in the hospital, and it looks like I may be spending this year too. Uggggh, Ihad to get all this off my chest.

Merry Christmas

Oh, Michael!!  I'm so sad for you to be in the hospital and they are just "waiting"??

I will definitely lift you up in prayer that your symptoms disappear and that you are able to get home by Monday!

I'm so sorry! Hopefully, you won't have to have surgery! But if you do, my heart goes out to you. Two Christmases in a row in the hospital just plain SUCKS! I don't blame you for needing to vent.
