Something in my stomach popped!!!!

I'm 3 1/2 weeks out. I gently bent down to pick up something and something right in the area of my stomach popped!! I've had an indention (like a memory mattress foam) that they told me was a suture. It's a little flatter now, but the pain is pretty bad. I've been a little dizzy for the past hour, but still functioning. I'm sure that's what it was...called my doctor (the P.A. was on call) and told me that's what it probably was....but I didn't expect that to hurt???!!! What the heck?????? indecision

So sorry you're going through this.  I also had very indented incisions that they advised me were the result of the surgeon suturing too tight or into muscle.  The pain was pretty nasty...almost like a searing or burning type of pain?  Hang in there and take as much tylenol as you can for the pain.  It took a few days for me to feel better but it does pass.  Take Care

Sounds just like it! They said I had a tight suture too. Exactly what it felt like....burning, searing. Ouch....It really hurt! They told me it would probably happen 4 or more months out. I'm closer to 1 month!!! Thanks!

Mine happened around 3 weeks, I think it depends on how you heal and how tight the suture was.  Hang in there!

i hear you...my incisions were way indented and looked concave...and yes i did...it was crazy pain, I almost passed out...the burning was bearable as long as I stayed still and didn't move around too much but no way could I lie down flat in a bed...I slept in a recliner for the first month and a half after surgery

It was very indented...like an inch or more. How do I know it's not a leak????

I'm not sure but I think you would have very different symptoms from a leak and maybe there are people on the board that can provide insight into that....you did the right thing calling your doctor but keep them informed of what you're going through just to be sure!

Aw its ok, just make sure you're checking with your doctor, especially if the pain doesn't get better or something seems not right...trust your instincts!  Take care and keep us posted!
