5 months out
I cannot believe I'm five months out. This last month has seen my slowest weight loss in a month (9.2lbs), but I lost all of those in 2.5 weeks so no complaints. I'm 87.2lbs down, nearly 75% of EWL for my goal, and 69% EWL for my surgeon's goal. I actually just found out my surgeon's goal last week of 140lbs. It's more in line with my vanity goal, and I'm determined to make it there. I'm not updating my ticker until I hit 150, though. Haha. What I found fascinating at my appointment was that he said he really likes to see his patients at 80% EWL, and he thought I would hit that by our next appointment with no issue. I told him, "Do you really think that's all I'm going to lose? I look forward to proving you wrong because I will get to 100%. Not just mine, but yours." He said, "Knowing you, how quickly you've lost, your attitude, I have very little doubt that isn't true." Gotta love that :)
I've had stalls, I've had learning experiences, and I most certainly haven't been perfect. However, I've been compliant 99% of the time to a more rigid program than my surgeon's. I am going to lose this weight, and I am determined to do it quickly while it is the easiest to do. I'm thankful every day for this surgery, for my surgeon, this forum and my local board. I learn so much from all of you. When I need a good butt kicking, I know where I can get it and I thank the vets immensely for that (I call you the cavalry in my head).
Basically, warm and fuzzies all around for this Friday!
I am on MFP. I don't log water and rarely log my exercise, but my food is correct :) Feel free to check out my logs, but no judging on yesterday. I had to have a breast u/s done, and I was barely holding it together. Learning experience, right? Haha. ravenbrown15
BTW, you are totally kickin' it! Great job!
