Absolutely yes!   I just so wish I would have done it years earlier!

Do your research though and get a good Dr.

Best wishes!

1. I would never have considered the band beyond more of a passing thought. It wasn't "right" for me and I wouldn't want the issues that come with it.

2. I wouldn't have done a RNY as that would be an incorrect choice for me also.

3. The only WLS that was/is appropriate for me is a VSG so if I was to have WLS all over again I would do the VSG.

Now...

Would I have WLS again?

Yes.

I had a reason to have had it and I am well on track for that resolution of a problem.

I have been able to do silly and fun things with my daughter and those are what keep me going.

I have reached the size I loved myself best at already (crazy as that sounds at 11 weeks out)... And there in lies my one and only issue. I have had to wrap my head around things moving more quickly then I expected, adjust my way of thinking to embrace a smaller size, etc. etc. Those are complex and I am not going to lie and say it is all sunshine and roses. It isn't. But it is worth it and that is what matters.

I'm considering Lap-Band vs. Gastric Sleeve. I'm just interested in Yes or No. Would you do it again if you could go back?

I want the Sleeve, but DH is getting me scared about such a major surgery, possibility of leakage, and if I die and leave my 3 daughters without a mother.

yes I would have it every month if that is what it took to lose and maintain the loss.

GL don't get the band,no matter what ANYBODy says!

I am almost four years out, and the answer to your question is HELL YES!!!!!  I would do it every single year if I had to to keep what I have now.  Choose a doctor wisely.  The sleeves are not made the same.  Do research, a lot of research.

Is am not currently sleeved but I have had a band for 10 years. It did not work and now, I am facing your very same decision and I am having it removed and considering sleeve. If it were me, I would not get the band.

I love my sleeve, and wouldn't change a thing!  I had been overweight my entire life, and nothing that I tried prior to this allowed me to lose this much weight and keep it off.  I tried so many things, from fad diets to weigh****chers to an outpatient binge eating treatment program (complete with weekly group therapy sessions, weekly dietician meetings, and weekly individual therapy sessions).
